Tours are held every Monday and Wednesday from 10am to 2pm, with an additional tour offered from 2pm to 6pm. A nature lover’s wonderland, it’s only 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail and withing the Chattahoochee National Forest. The park is named after its most treasured feature, Amicalola Falls- a magnificent 729-foot waterfall that’s the third highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River.

As you descend the stairs, you will hear tales of miner’s struggles to uncover gold deep within large quartz veins. Your tour guide welcomes interaction from the group as you experience life as a miner at the turn of the century.
